Floor-Standing 3-Axis Tape Applicator

The YIXING floor-standing 3-axis tape applicator is a custom-built taping machine. The X axis moves the tape head front to back while the Y and Z axes handle left-right moves, so it can tape around a panel's outline or at several positions on long panels. ±1 mm, 500 mm/s, full safety enclosure.

Quick answers

  • The YIXING floor-standing 3-axis tape applicator moves its tape head front to back on the X axis and left to right on the Y and Z axes, at ±1 mm accuracy.
  • The YIXING floor-standing 3-axis tape applicator is custom-built, with the taping stroke designed around the customer's product; it measures approx. 1500 × 1600 × 1500 mm and weighs 220 kg.
  • The YIXING floor-standing 3-axis tape applicator can tape along a panel's full outline or at several positions on long panels, at 500 mm/s.
  • The YIXING floor-standing 3-axis tape applicator has a full safety enclosure and takes double-sided, 3M, clear and high-temperature tape 3–50 mm wide.
  • The YIXING floor-standing 3-axis tape applicator uses reels with a 76 mm core ID and 250 mm OD, runs on 220 V / 50 Hz and is made by Dongguan Yixing Automation Equipment Co., Ltd.

Overview

When the tape path is more than a single straight line — a full loop around a panel's outline, or several spots on one long panel — the floor-standing 3-axis tape applicator is the model to look at. The part is held on the table by vacuum or a fixture; the X axis drives the tape head front to back, and the Y and Z axes handle the left-right taping moves.

Two typical jobs appear in the brochure: tape laid along the full outline of a panel, and tape applied at several positions on long panels. The machine shown has a full safety enclosure and applies double-sided, 3M, clear and high-temperature tape.

It is a custom-built machine, so the taping stroke is set by the customer's product rather than a fixed standard. Other figures: ±1 mm accuracy, 500 mm/s, tape 3–50 mm wide (liner width) on reels with a 76 mm core ID and 250 mm OD; approx. 1500 × 1600 × 1500 mm, 220 kg, 220 V / 50 Hz.

How it works

  1. 1 Place the part on the machine table, held by vacuum or a fixture
  2. 2 The X axis moves the tape head front to back to apply tape
  3. 3 The Y and Z axes handle the left-right taping moves
  4. 4 Tape is laid around the outline or at several positions, as the part requires

Key advantages

X plus YZ motion

X for front-to-back head travel, Y and Z for left-right moves, so the tape path is not limited to one direction.

Outline taping

Tape can follow a panel's full outline, for parts that need tape all the way around.

Multi-position taping

Several tape positions on one long panel, as in the brochure samples.

Built to your product

A custom-built model: the taping stroke is designed around the customer's part instead of a fixed standard.

Full safety enclosure

The machine in the brochure is fully enclosed, keeping moving parts inside the guard.

Accuracy and tape range

Although custom-built, it is rated at ±1 mm (excluding product and tape tolerances) and 500 mm/s, with tape 3–50 mm wide.

Options and customization

  • Taping stroke custom-built to the customer's product
  • Vacuum or fixture part holding

Selection tips

  • If straight horizontal and vertical strips are enough and parts fit within 500 × 1000 mm, start with the standard floor-standing rotary-head tape applicator.
  • For parts within 650 × 650 mm where separate head and table axes are enough, see the floor-standing 2-axis tape applicator.
  • For uneven parts that do not sit steadily and need several strips at once, consider the dual-head tape applicator with magnetic unloading (custom build).
  • For flat parts in continuous production, choose the inline conveyor tape applicator.

FAQ

Does the 3-axis tape applicator have a standard taping stroke?

No — it is a custom-built machine, and the stroke is designed around the customer's product. The brochure unit measures approx. 1500 × 1600 × 1500 mm.

How do the three axes move?

The X axis moves the tape head front to back; the Y and Z axes handle the left-right taping moves.

Can it tape around the outline of a part?

Yes. One brochure sample is a panel taped along its full outline; another shows tape at several positions on long panels.

Does the machine have a safety guard?

Yes. The 3-axis machine shown in the brochure has a full safety enclosure.

What accuracy, speed and tape sizes does it support?

±1 mm taping accuracy (excluding product and tape tolerances), 500 mm/s, and tape 3–50 mm wide (liner width) on reels with a 76 mm core ID and 250 mm OD.

How does the 3-axis model differ from the 2-axis model?

The 2-axis model moves the head on X and the table on Y within a fixed standard stroke. The 3-axis model moves the head front to back on X and left to right on Y and Z, with a stroke built around the customer's product — suited to outline and multi-position taping.
