Quick answers
- YIXING tape applicator heads come in three types — liner-peeling, non-peeling and waste-rewinding — chosen by the customer to match the process.
- YIXING tape applicator heads apply tape at ±1 mm accuracy (excluding product and tape tolerances) and 500 mm/s.
- YIXING tape applicator heads take tape 3–50 mm wide (liner width) on reels with a 76 mm core ID and 250 mm OD.
- A YIXING tape applicator head measures approx. 600 × 300 × 500 mm and weighs 8 kg; the heads are made by Dongguan Yixing Automation Equipment Co., Ltd.
Overview
Besides complete machines, YIXING supplies tape applicator heads as separate units in three versions: liner-peeling, non-peeling and waste-rewinding. They differ in what happens to the release liner and the waste during taping, and customers pick the version that fits their needs and use it with their equipment.
The liner-peeling head strips the release liner off as the tape is applied. The non-peeling head applies the tape with its liner still in place, for jobs where the liner has to stay on after taping. The waste-rewinding head winds up the waste material. To choose, decide whether the liner comes off and whether waste must be collected, then match the head.
Each head weighs 8 kg and measures approx. 600 × 300 × 500 mm (L × W × H). The brochure rates the heads at ±1 mm taping accuracy (excluding product and tape tolerances) and 500 mm/s, for tape 3–50 mm wide (liner width) wound on 76 mm cores with a 250 mm reel OD.
How it works
- 1 Decide whether the release liner must be peeled off and whether waste must be collected
- 2 Choose the liner-peeling, non-peeling or waste-rewinding head accordingly
- 3 Use the selected head together with your equipment
Key advantages
Three head types
Liner-peeling, non-peeling and waste-rewinding versions, chosen by how the liner and waste must be handled.
Peel or keep the liner
Take the liner-peeling head when the liner must come off, or the non-peeling head when it has to stay on the tape.
Waste rewinding
The waste-rewinding head winds up waste material, for taping steps where waste has to be collected.
Head performance
Rated at ±1 mm taping accuracy and 500 mm/s; speed varies with part and tape size.
Compact 8 kg unit
Approx. 600 × 300 × 500 mm and 8 kg, supplied as a component for use with matching equipment.
3–50 mm tape
Works with tape 3 to 50 mm wide (liner width) wound on 76 mm cores, with a reel OD of 250 mm.

Selection tips
- If you need a complete machine that rewinds the liner and cuts the tape automatically, see the floor-standing rotary-platform tape applicator with liner peeling.
- To mount a tape head on a gantry over an existing line, ask about the custom gantry-mounted tape applicator head; its gantry size and head type are built to the customer's line.
- For small parts taped at a workbench, the complete desktop tape applicator (300 × 300 mm stroke) may be the simpler choice.
